How to produce Termites (White Ants) for feeding Country Chicken?
In our blog series, we are going to see How to produce Termites (Whites Ants) for feeding Country Chicken?
By producing feed for country chickens, the cost of the feed can be reduced as well as increase the weight of the chicken.

- Take a big clay pot.
- Fill it up with any organic wastes. A few of them are given below:-
- Any dried straws like Paddy, Wheat etc
- Old jute sack or bag
- Dried Leaves
- Dried Cow Dung
- Paper
- Cardboard Boxes
- Dead Wood
- Husks like Coconut husk, Paddy Husk etc
- Fill the pot with one layer of anyone of the organic wastes available.
- Sprinkle a little bit of water to moist the layer. The layer should not be wet but only moist.
- The layers should not be compacted and should be kept loose.
- Add the additional layers and repeat the process until the pot is completely full.
- Invert the Pot and keep in a cool shady place.
- Termites will be available on the next day itself for feeding the chickens.
